A great campsite on the banks of the Rhone. Easy access to Tarascon and Beaucaire across the river. Lovely small pool with loungers and chairs. Pitches smallish, but ok.. Ablutions fair and clean. Restaurant on weekends. Secure and friendly staff. ACSI 17euro plus tourist tax. Good value.
For cyclists needing a friendly, clean place where we can make our own dinner and sleep well without camping gear, the Roulette (little cabin) was perfect! Family run place with great vibes. We were able to preorder breakfast and a baguette for our lunch too! Coffee was good and strong! Highly recommend.
The pitches for cycletourers had chairs and tables, so rare, yet such I nice thought. And this alone is a reason to stay! Good welcome. The campsite facities are tired but functional, I guess the new family owners have plans. No toilet roll. 🙄 The bar is fine, not convinced by the food. …
Looks like a safe place from the outside. Door is closed at night, even the pedestrians door (code needed). That means DO NOT go there if you are a cycling tourist and are planning to grind a few "cold" kilometres in the evening :)
Tip: A few kilometres up the river in Vallabrègues is another camping, with an open pedestrians door for late arrivals :)
Very well located campsite on the Rhone. Next to the Chateau de Tarascon and very short walk to Centre Ville or to Beaucaire. Perfect to explore. Campsite still a little expensive for solo voyager (cyclist/rambler) otherwise 5 star. Restaurant / bar excellent and good value. Pool good and great shade for pitches. Staff friendly and helpful. Office closed from 12 to 4pm most days. Toilet/wash rooms 9/10. Could provide soap and paper at this price.
Yes I'd come back.
Bicycle travellers - expect a warm welcome. Also expect a visit from the cute hens, comfy chairs near your campsite, and a stunning view of the Rhône and nearby castle. Facilities are older but clean. 13€ July rate; 1,40€ for a glass of rosé.
Awesome place! Nice owners and free living chicken on the campsite..... clean and basic! All you need for a short stay! Tarascon is a dead place but city next door (over the bridge)...... better stay here than rush into Arles with it‘s shot and unfriendly camsites! U can do that easily next morning!
Had to pay in advance. the place is wornout and outdated, after a decade without maintenance. no money refund possible, suddenly don't speak English anymore. a scam. avoid if possible.
